I'm trying to figure this out... Miranda just paid $1 for a sandwich, pie, & coffee told the delivery boy to keep the change, which he seemed to think was a great tip, but Miranda is handing out $5s like candy to informants... where's she get this kind of money?

p78: Duggan, sad-faced siamang, long hairy arms helpless, large hands, covered in scars, weak, white, empty. Flare of energy when he met her eyes. Recognition.

This woman is stressing me out with her chain smoking! She's lighting up a "stick", then less than one paragraph later she's "rubbing it out" and then like two sentences later she's lighting up another. And EVERY time we're told what she lit it with, lighter or matches, and what brand… AHHH!!!

writing style is a little tough to get used to...

too much profanity so far. particularly the f word.
