So far this is doing a good job of weaving the story of the investigation by the Russian into the main mountaineer’s story. The odd investigation situation is almost as weird as the story the mountain tells of our hikers.

Continuing my obsession with this tragic (yet fascinating) event.
I believe that this event is explainable with what we know today about sensory interference (especially on a mountain in extreme storm conditions).
And yet I can’t stop reading everything written about it. There is lots of recent books coming out since the experts agree on the auditory theory as the explanation for what happened.
