Reading Chesterton is like listening to really great jazz. You can fully pay attention to it and be totally amazed and fully engaged, finding something new every visit. Or you can half listen when you’re trying to fall asleep, and be totally comforted, knowing you’re in capable hands.

This will probably be one of my favorite books from the year - so enjoyable and witty with the occasional wildly stretched metaphor.

Very enjoyable read - I oscillate between being engaged in lively argument with Chesterton, demanding that he substantiate his (often bizarre) aphorisms and nodding in admiration at the lucidity of his prose.
