The Watchtower map is pretty cool; maps and infographics, Jonathan Hickman style, are the stuff comics should play around with more.

Morrison's contempt for the 90s—a dark age for superhero comics with all their false maturity, meaningless ultraviolence and adolescent mentality all in all—is present in some moments. The first arc, some issues here and there. Part of their vision is the return to Silver Age dynamics, but dynamised and modernized.

Circe identifies Plastic Man as Dionysius. Ha!

My vision of Darkseid is defined by Nietzsche's philosophy (the strong are deterred by the weak, slave morality overshadows master modality) and Bataille; Apokolips, Anti-Life Equation, it's all the pursuit of an aesthetics of death, like the Norse faith, Darkseid's way of life is belligerent.

There's really not other way to write Plastic Man if not following the steps of Cronenberg, it has to be a body horror. And that's not a bad thing. The funny, Looney Tunes personality of his can reflect on his powers, but after the fun wears off it has to be something chilling... A Plastic Man comic by me would be aesthetically similar to Monkeybone...

Idea: Flash running away from the panel, he's talking and the letters of his balloons try to catch up with his speed

I like the way Lex referes to his plan to dupe and defeat the JLA as a 'corporate takeover', Grant knows how to write our bald Alexander as a ruthless businessman as a way that's not his only defining trait—his ambition is not of a bourgeois, but of a planetary conqueror.
