The researchers suggested that because good nutrition is crucial in the first three years of life when the brain is developing at its fastest rate, children who eat too much fat, sugar, and processed food don’t get the vitamins and nutrients they need for optimal brain development. I agree with the author's premise, but I'm not sold on this book yet. The tone can get a bit cutesy and I'd like better sourcing for the science. Also, I don't love the almost complete focus on moms -- fathers can be part of the process of improving family health as well.
