Carter had stocked the bar the way conservationists stock a lake with trout. There was Johnnie Walker Red, Chivas Regal, Jack Daniel's, imported Nebbiolo Cinzano, Jamaican rum, Tia Maria liqueur, crème de cacao, and Beefeater's gin. He bought a generous supply of Seagram's V.O., Courvoisier cognac, Canadian Club whiskey, Akadama red wine, and several cases of Miller High Life.
