Status Updates From Nine Eleven Ten

Charles has finally devised a way to protect the children by seducing Erik. This is morbid, macabre, yet oh so deliciously engrossing.

Spent half a day just reading 19 out of 45 chapters, and it's definitely the kind of fanfic that is publishable on its own because of how authentic and refined the prose is, including the liberties taken with the characters from X-Men. I'm not even reading this just because it's a Cherik fanfic.

Re-reading this again because I've been getting back on Cherik fics and this is arguable a definitive work in that fandom.

I'm sorta... bored. Sure, I'm familiar with the bones of the canon, so I get it, but the storyline is so... uninteresting. When we gonna get to the abusive 'romance"?! Who cares about all this political mutant gobblygook. I am so not an American comic book fan.
