I really haven't felt like reading this year

So after trying to figure why this book was boring me I finally did. I'm not even a third through and we've already had 4 sexual encounters. There was no world or character building. No romantic or sequel tension built up. I mean unless you are just aiming for a book full of sex, these things are needed to for me to be invested in the characters and the story.
