Discusses why affairs happen by going through the types of affairs seen in general.
While the author tries to be non-judgmental, it still becomes evident that somebody is wrong somewhere.

The author brings the reader on to the same page by defining Infidelity and the hallmarks of an affair. Neat and pretty convincing so far. Led me to question myself as to whether I could identify with the hallmarks wrt myself, and I find I probably cannot absolve myself, in all honesty.

Understanding infidelity
The author starts off with the question "What's wrong with having an affair?". He takes one through different kinds of relationships, from the monogamous relationship through polyamory to that with sex workers. He discusses concepts of sexual/emotional fulfillment, fidelity, exclusivity, intimacy, honesty etc with respect to these relationships.

Having read Dr VN's other books and finding them useful, I thought of completing the series by reading this. Also, the fact that I might be teetering on the brink of an affair, I thought that it is good policy to be fore-warned of the trials and tribulations one is likely to face, if I chose that road.
