Zoo by Michael Ledwidge is an excellant read though I doubt James Patterson had anything to do with it other than line his pockets with the profits.

Guy foresees the turning of animals against all manking ... and has a 5-year old pet chimp. Go figure. His friend the wild-game tracker in South Africa determines that two vehicles of tourists were "ambushed" by lions ... and drives up for a closer look? Questionable judgment always makes for great horror/thriller. Very well written as is also expected.

I am almost done with this book. This is one hell of a good book.
