WTF did I just Read Reviews is 63% done

So far this book seems almost offensive. Idk if the woman is a woman or man but I do know that its almost offense to rape victims to have a character that went through what Brooke went through to going on to meeting Lance and "wanting him" there's no way. Not to mention she was hurt so bad. Idk im offended for rape victims everywhere.
I had no idea when I picked up this book that it was going to be a romance.

Started out very dark... and has turned kind of sweet. Enjoying it so far. Even though the "sweet" isn't my typical read, it still has those "undercurrents" of what could possibly happen.
