Status Updates From The New Kings of Nonfiction

I got a little stuck on the Lee Sandlin essay on war bc it was so long...but every time I remember to pick this up I marvel at the writing and want to read more. Just really well told stories on a variety of fascinating subjects.

Have learned I don’t particularly care for David Foster Wallace. Also the story about English football fans was really disturbing. Otherwise still really enjoying this.

YES PLEASE this is exactly my jam. A gem of a used bookstore find. My only complaint is that Rick Bragg is not included as one of the greatest nonfiction writers of our time. That's a huge miss, but otherwise I'm still thoroughly enjoying this collection.
