Last few sections are good, but are leaving a lot more than I'd like in upcoming sections and chapters. I do appreciate their narrative though.

This really is quite an entertaining presentation. Not sure exactly how to put my finger on it, but simply lovely. Lots of good stuff hiding in the exercises.

And my copy of the third edition has finally arrived via Amazon!

I'm really enjoying their exposition and layout of the subject so far. I love that they provide more description of the general "forest" before intensely scrutinizing the "leaves", much less make mention that we're here to study "trees."

Enjoying the opening narrative style which helps to define/frame the subject prior to jumping straight into definitions, theorems, and proofs.

Read introduction, Appendix A, and first few pages for a summer study group with a few fellow amateur mathematicians. Let me know if you'd like to join us. Only some experience with Linear Algebra and proofs is required. We'll set a schedule with internet conference calls shortly.
