Re-read of the quartet starting with book 1

Marnie and Nola aren't best friends. Marnie says "If you won't let me have other friends you won't be my friend"(137). Nola won't let Marnie be friends with the cool people so now they can't be friends. Now Nola left and can't find any other friends.

In the book I was happy when Marnie ditched the cool girls for Nola. Marnie says "Nola I would never choose anyone over you" (103). Marnie is telling Nola that's she will always be her best friend. Marnie and Nola have always been friends and they shouldn't let anyone get in between that.

This book is so good so far, and i'm super excited to keep reading it. My favorite part is when they text each other because the dialogue is written rally well!

In my book Marnie has found a new group, and she isn't being very nice to Noel, and she is planning a bday party for her!! When she was at the movies, she told Lizette that Noel was planning the party for her, and she laughed. It seems like they aren't as good of friends as they used to be ever since Nate came along.

I just started this book so I am going to compare Rules Of The Road to A Walk To Remember. The themes in each book were very different, in Rules of the road the theme was actions made in childhood can effect how a person feels about you and in A Walk To Remember the theme is be thankful for the time you have with a person.So overall the books are each both based off of something different.
