Third story: Not bad so far. I like this newly-married couple set up. What kind of heroine name is "Johnna," though?? Surely that's missing a vowel somewhere...

Second story: 3-3.5 stars. Cute, totally implausible twin situation, totally predictable we're-betrothed-but-oh-wait-our-betrotheds-will-also-oh-so-conveniently-fall-in-love-too set up, but cute nonetheless. I like how the kittens were integrated into this story.

Yuppppppppppp...h's betrothed likes to talk about the new canal being built near his estate, and...shocker of shockers!...H's betrothed just happens to find engineering and canal-building (of all things!) fascinating. Allow me a moment to scoff in disbelief at a gently bred young lady in the Regency times having engineering as a hobby/pursuit.

Betrotheds haven't met each other yet, but they're gonna end up together. Yup. I can spot it about ten thousand miles away.

Second story. They're both betrothed...to other people. *blech*

BUT, this made me laugh out loud...heroine's mama just explained that heroine had a twin who was stolen from the family as an infant.

Aaaaaaaand (drumroll, please) this mysterious twin is the hero's betrothed. *shakes head* Oh, only in traditional Regency world...

First story: 1 star. Did not like.

Heroine is a histrionic ninnyhammer, and the servants don't act like servants. What kind of abigail says something like "mere viscount" (describing the hero), after all?

Ended this one saying, once again out loud, "okay, that was stupid." NEXT!

I just said "This is stupid." out loud. That is not a good sign.

First story.

Jesus H. Christ. Heroine just screamed bloody murder. Who screams bloody murder over kittens on their bed????

Not a promising start. Inclined to find her TSTL already. *smacks forehead*
