I'm fairly certain that I've read this before - probably on my Mum's Kindle

I admit I'm lost. How is that possible when I'm only 7% in?

Chocolate cake?! Okay. I'm not an historian by any means, but I don't think chocolate was used in cakes until the 1890s. Before that it was used in drinks. This book is what gives well researched historical romances a bad name.

I've counted at least 5 ways Taffeta should have been "ruined" by now and nothing! This is so dumb. Oh! And "tie"? Tie?!?! Has Ms. Conn not done ANY research? How the hell did this book get past a respectable editor? I'm glad it was free and I didn't pay money for this book.

Wasn't Lady Jersey's mother-in-law the Prince Regents mistress? Not Lady Sara? And you're telling me 19 year old Taffy could go off BY HERSELF with Hotspur (oh the names!) in a carriage and no one cares? This book is ridiculous.
