Status Updates From Light & Dark: The Awakening...

It's pretty okay. :)

For this to be directed towards middle-schoolers, this book is fantastically written. I love that the sentence structure is complex and the diction is more challenging towards readers of that age group. That's how it needs to be.

Now that I've finally graduated from college, I'm going to attempt to read this review book again. I'm looking forward to gaining back control of my time. Life has simply been hard.

The exposition in this book takes a very interesting stance. First off, it starts off with a kid, who is in eighth grade, waking up on the first day of school with his mom waking him up. For most, this is very relatable, but I am different from most people, so this doesn't really pull me in that much. He then gets to school and has a nromal time until the third-to-last period. It takes a little too long for my taste.

This book is actually pretty good. I'm trying to put myself in the mindset of a middle schooler, and it's making the experience more exciting.
