OMG I see where this is going, poor baby

Well fuck... I've enjoyed this so far... and have wanted to know what happens, but... I don't think I can do it. I don't think I can face it. I know it will gut me and I just can't....

YAAAY!!! It had killed me that there was a book by Anyta that was unavailable and I couldn't read!!! LOVE. HER. !

It has a magical but yet realistic atmosphere. Lethe is a pretty secretive character. :3

the thing I hate the most in any kind of book/media just happened and.... meh

ended up reading more than i think i could! So far it's mostly focussed on friendship VS relationship rather than the curse, which i didn't expect and isn't as hard on me.
still very atmospheric!

this is well written and atmospheric, but wow, the mood is heavy... might need some time to finish this rather than reading this in one go

[The 'first' time...]

“You’re the first person who doesn’t see the person they most want.”

“Yes, I do.” My whisper carried over the churning water, softening his eyes even more.

[But why can *I* see the real you?...]

“I was missing my soul mate.”

[After seeing the truth and running...]

All I could focus on was that he was okay. Not lying on the floor. Not passed out in the bed. He was smiling.

Then his smile shrank just a little. Did he think I wasn’t real? “You came back,” he said in barely a whisper.

**Awww** [Best friend feeling left out...]

“I was just wondering what part I’d play in your life if this thing with Lethe works out. I think—I think I’m going to find it hard not having you come to my every beck and call. I know I can’t offer you more than friendship, but sometimes I wish I could, just so I can keep you to myself.”

[Finally, the question...]

“What does he want?”

“Thoth. He wants me to suffer.”

The memory of Lethe being beat up in the park came to mind. I did squeeze his arm then and in a shaky voice asked, “Lethe, what trouble are you in?”

"I like having the place to myself.” He sighed and added in such a light whisper I wouldn’t have heard him if it hadn’t been for a well-timed breeze, “When no one else can see me.”
