'Distressing Notifications' is a Stephen King-esque tale of an app that is more than it seems, while 'Pendulous' is odd, a non-horror story with a single event in the middle to set it in the Yellow King universe.

'A Boat Full of Popes' takes a repairman for one of Chambers suicide booths, an exploration of gay conversion therapy and some serious horror, with a hard boiled tone. Good stuff.

Wow. 'The Blood on the Walls of the Fortress' is a truly bleak, horrific war story.

I decided to pick up Laws collection of Robert W. Chambers inspired tales ahead of running his new Yellow King Roleplaying Game some time in the new year. 'Full Bleed' is the report of an investigator trying to find out if a young comic book writer's work is an adaptation of that most dangerous of plays, and 'Gaps' is a genuinely disturbing story told in second person where the subject, 'you', is losing time.

"Gaps" - a Latroesque fragmented narrative gives the reader a vivid experience of post-Yellow King-reading damage as the second person, present tender narrator is constantly coping with missing time through the commission or abetting of a crime and its weirdly gentle aftermath. That's the stuff!
