I didn’t expect to love this, but I did. It was riveting. And there’s a dry humor that comes thru at times.
The epilogue was less enjoyable, but was needed to wrap things up, plus we hear about the bizarre made-for-TV reenactment of this survival story.
The Mawson diary entry that brought me to tears was, “I shall do my utmost to the last.” I cannot fathom the strength he had to summon to survive this.
