Prose and plot don't have to be mutually exclusive, people. You can have both.

In other words, I'm liking the language of this book. I think it's literary as all get out. But I'm wondering where these flashbacks are taking me and for what purposes.

Not that Hunter's life is not interesting and all, but could we go back to our regularly scheduled romance?

Well, the writing is certainly different, but pretty exhausting too. Apparently all body parts have character traits now.

"There was no denying that Frank thrilled him; the sex with Frank thrilled him; the fact that Frank was a prostitute and beautiful thrilled him. Frank was like the last sarcastic tingle of a lethal dose of arsenic and Hunter wanted every dark and erotic swallow, despite the risk."

That was it? To be cont... Just no. Will not be buying the next one.

Holy shit, this is so fucking hot!

I don't remember this book at all, but my review says I loved it and was eagerly awaiting the sequel. Well, the sequel is out so I'm going in for a re-read to see what the fuss is about.
