My first foray into literary theory outside of Said and yet surprisingly lucid and readable. I’m told that’s not often the case. It does what it says on the tin - puts fairy tales and folk tales into their proper historical and social context. It’s not pop sci though meaning it goes way beyond what I as a beginner would consider interesting.

Sé que suele ser bien pesado y tirar varios palos cuasi ad hominem a los autores que critica, así que no me sorprendió tanto; sí fue más agotador leer la cantinela de "Tolkien machizzzta" etcétera y chistoso (para mal) su análisis alegoricoide de "El hobbit". Aun así, Zipes planteó varias ideas interesantes de Tolly que me llevaré para mis cozzitazz.
