I am just not seeing where everyone gives such raving reviews for this.

Bit easier to follow than The Moon Pool, but still nothing too great on that front. There's just something about Merritt's writing style that fails to grasp me. I don't know why.

Loopy.

Strange otherworldly vibes. Two different cultures from opposite ends of the world, written by a westerner, starring a westerner. Bit of a missed opportunity - but the book was written a good while ago, so, so it goes.
