This reads like a book report. Metaphors analyzed and described. characters detailed. some of this character development and world building should have been spread out through the book and done through character interaction instead of narration.

I don't think I like Tessa. her contrast description about the difference between her and Bailey made me roll my eyes.... Ofcourse you got the boy....also its feeling a little predictable. That's not a bad thing necessarily but I'm already guessing Liam is the love interest and the plane crash wasnt accidental
