Wonderful historical! Breathes life into history and tickles fantastical. Leonie is a wonderful heroine. Relatable yet powerful and bold. I love the period formality yet the titillating bits here and there. Intriguing mystery as well! Dark magic is afoot!

I'm having issues with this book. He's always thinking or saying how wrong she is. Too tall, too thin, too skilled with a bow. It's not a case of denying his attraction. He just thinks she's jacked up. At this point in the story he's starting to feel a bit of attraction but I can't really believe it since he was so averse to her originally.
