I can't continue. There is no trust in this relationship. The male protagonist ... I HATE him, with how utterly controlling and degrading he is. He gives me the creeps, and while I'm sure there are the rare Doms like this, they are the type one would want to avoid. I would continue if I thought this was the intention of the author, but with her acknowledgements to those in the BDSM community who helped her ... no.

"Take off your panties and bring them to me ... or you can leave."

I am not liking this book - the dom is a total ****head. Luke the Puke. I want this woman to run and run fast.
The writing is well done and it is the only reason i have stuck with it this far. Hoping for a big turn around.....

This was an amazing book, until I figured out it was only the beginning. Jane is a great character, and her internal conflict is perfect. I feel that Luke is a bit too much. If there is a push, there needs to be some give. All in all a great book. The ending has left me wanting more.

I was really surprised when I found out how old Jane was - I had assumed she was much younger.
And then I was looking for a book to compare this to - I came up with Annabel Joseph's Mercy - Luke shares certain unlikable qualities with Matthew - especially the safeword thing. It also reminds of Safeword: Davenport - Luke's micromanaging tendencies were very Zachish - although Zach waited for the movers to leave.
