Status Updates From Cthulhu Unbound 3

Tim Curran's story started out with huge possibilities, however, the ending was just a giant cluster f*ck of random mythos things thrown into a giant pot with little to no care. The second of his stories to feature a prison, I would highly recommend you seek out his other story where he truly shines and leave this one alone. So much potential wasted on such a terrible ending.

Formatting issues with the pictures meant that I missed the first page of the second and third chapters of this piece. Felt like the last two parts of it were tacked on and it could have easily ended in the elevator and would have been just as good. Still, the story was well done and highly enjoyable.

The first novella in this anthology was a hard one to slug through. POV switches, flashbacks, far too much detail and description...it all made for a very confusing and hard to read story. I found myself forcing myself to read until the end and didn't care at all about the characters. They were completely unsympathetic and unrelatable.

Didn't finish Mirrorrorrim, it was just weird without that Lovecraft feel.
