Really loving the t-shirt slogans. I wonder what it say about me that the only thing I miss about not having a job is being able to buy whatever book I want, whenever I want it...and adding to my own geeky t-shirt collection. Otherwise? Meh...I'd rather be reading.

The last time I did this it came back to bite me in the ass, but: I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I'm enjoying this book! It's a new-to-me author, so it was definitely an iffy proposition - especially since I'd not seen any reviews by people I follow.

I grew up in Iowa and this book has the flavor down just right. The Hy-Vee and Kum & Go, the religion, the heritage of the people that live in Iowa. It all just sounds so familiar and right. It's a really lovely book and I am enjoying it so much.

I'm going DNF on this one. I wish the author had concentrated more on the characters and the relationship that on the usual cause against religion or anything conservative while lauding ecological and liberal causes. I also got irritated with Mark's passive aggressive attitude 4 things that made him unhappy. Do something, man!

I'm trying to like this story, but the characters are irritating me. It's gotten to the point that it's like doing ckpoints: environmental causes, organic food, humane treatment 4 animals, fox news, conservatives, religious freaks, gas-guzzler cars, judgmental people and on and on. Stop!
