Well this is certainly better written than a bunch of the other gothics I read recently. Reading the description of a mutilated dead cat the heroine finds made me cringe a little but I knew it was coming. With that said I'm on page 24 and she just now made it to the village and started having dialogue with people other than herself which for me is a little draggier than I like with my pulp gothics, but we'll see!
