At least Scalzi‘s humor really shines in this book. However I cannot help but feel that most of these episodes are not really moving the world forward in any relevant way and feel kind of pointless within the Old Man‘s War series...

I got to the part with the dog and really don't want to read the rest. It's like an episode of an '80s sitcom. I've been stalled out since it came out, and now it's two months later, and the series is over.
