So far the pace is excruciatingly slow. I still haven't gotten to the main part of the story. It's just the set up! Part of that is all the lecturing on things that provide nothing for the story. They all need to be cut. For example, who cares which channel you saw the Andy Griffith show on? I certainly don't. Also, all the typos and big words, while I understand them, distract.
