Status Updates From Dugo sa Bukang-Liwayway

I hope that the last few pages will turn this book into another memorable Tagalog old novels. I had high expectations when I started reading this last week. Please.

I am done with the second part and I saw the similarity now with Jose Rizal's Noli-Fili. Fili of course has similarities to Alexander Dumas' THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO.

Even this book is better than Elizabeth Kostova's. Rogelio Sicat's prose is very mature and heartfelt. If only Filipinos can read this more than spending time in finding our the fictional story of Drakula. Why not try to learn about the lives of the poor farmers in the 50's or 60's? They are still poor or even poorer for crying out loud!
