This book hasn't been the easiest to read. It's not as engaging as I had hoped since the premise was so interesting to me. But I'm going to continue out of pure curiosity and I need to see this story to an end.

I am disliking this book so much - do not like the way it's written. Can't decide if I should just stop reading or hope it eventually gets better.

God I hope this almost over. Painful to read. In one paragraph alone, this author uses 5 different words to describe one thing. Ugh! And an entire paragraph to describe a burlap sack? Really?

Not sure what to think of this story. So far the premise is good but the execution is horrible. The author spends more time making comparisons in the "prose" and describing things in too great of detail. Put it this way, it's so descriptive of the New Orleans landscape that I find myself searching the Internet for vacation packages more than reading and following the story.

So far, 2 chapters in, and all I can say is WTF!? I have no clue really what's going on. This author fills every paragraph with way too many metaphors and similes. Enough descriptions already. Hope this gets better because so far it's a confusing read.
