It sped up, and changed and made me think a lot about how the author has used religion in a good way, as a metaphor for most of humanities failings with out being obvious and preachy.
I am amazed how he has refereed to the bible so many times, without the narrative becoming oppressive and bogged down with any kind of sanctimonious righteousness.
The story has not been weighed down by the connection.

I am getting through this a lot slower than I thought I would. I am enjoying the writing style and what is being written.
Its effortless and the authors descriptive powers are impressive in a subtle way.
For reason I can not fathom I seemed to be looking for a big reveal
I think its something to do with the reviews I have read before starting the book.
Note to self, don't do that again!!

Hate that I have to put this book down to go to bed, but I just have too! OMG it's just so good! I swear the author Noah is a creative genius! If you haven't gone to his website to get the first five chapters, then do it!! http://www.noahfregger.com

"Alas, this much is true; no one likes to be the odd man out, especially when there are only three people (my usage of the word “people” is very loose here)."

"I swear the seventh circle of hell must be filled to the brim with seething women, a terrible place where a guy could be thoroughly ignored for whichever length of time best describes eternity."

"But if there’s one thing I've learned after countless sessions of marriage counseling, it’s that I’ll never understand women. They might as well have been written in some kind of impervious code, some intricate conundrum that man was not meant to solve."
