all the kids are aware of the 4 friends disappearing, and they try to find them.

Kristy and olivia, invite Tim and Bobby to hang out with them while they are in the Caves. while walking, they go into a chamber where there are some really weird things. they go away from the rest of the group to find out more about the caves, but they accidently go into a chamber that says "Keep out". now, they must survive the danger there is in there.

the kids stay in an old rusty motel near the caves. Kristy is freaked out by the story she heard on the bus. (by Bobby) she doesn't want to go into the caves anymore. the cafeteria doesn't smell like food. it smells horrible.

a group of students are going to a field trip, but they don't know that they are in danger. while they are in the bus, a kid starts talking about the caves they are going to. according to him no one ever returned from the caves because everyone fell in a big hole. no one knows what will happen to the kids when they get to the caves.
