Why did I wait so fucking long to read this???

A little light on the romance side, but still a very engaging post-apocalyptic/dystopian story that I very much enjoyed. Review coming soon.

The book really lost me in Part 2 :/

This back and forth between first and third person narrative is staring to annoy me. I can tell it’s done on purpose but the storytelling feels so choppy. Plus I just read a chapter with four different PoVs in it – it was weird.

I’ll keep reading, though – still interested to see what will happen with the main characters.

Give me man vs self, man vs man, even man vs environment, but man vs society just makes me spitting mad. I know we need to chose which things we agree with and which we don't, THINK about what we're doing, how we're living, how we're believing in whichever current society we live, but it's hard to get right in a book without sounding preachy; it's just not my thing. Unless it's man vs tiny society, such as family.

It breaks my heart everytime Jac says "Parri hurr", I can't do this. Paddy please protect him and get him away from this madness!

Yep, I can tell this is going to be super emotional.

A happy ending. I only have one complaint, but I won't say it here. Overall, I really enjoyed this.

Ah, so it was the Purples that hurt Jac and his people so bad and that's how he ended up in New Las Vegas.

Paddy is feeling guilty because he didn't hide that note and people ended up dying.

A lot happened all at once.

Well, I'm not surprised she shot him.
