Status Updates From A Tale for the Time Being

Nao and Ruth are both very interesting in their own ways. So far I like how human the book is, it's just people trying their best with what they've got

Ruth is annoying in the sense that she's too in her head about this whole Nao thing. Her husband is in the rain looking for their lost cat that he loves dearly and here she is, stuck in her head, saying all these insensitive things. She's devoid of empathy for the world outside of her mind. But, in a way, this is a very human trait and is what a lot of us do ourselves.
