I really like these authors, but I'm not sure they've ever worked in the cold. -15c is about 5F, even with a 20mph wind it isn't that cold, especially if you're working. Those on the sledges are certainly at risk for freezing, but those on the skis definitely aren't.

some spelling errors, but the geography error is bothering me the most. US 83 is about 200 miles west of I-29. Old 81, now a county highway, runs right next to the interstate. I'm also unsure why the Red River wouldn't be frozen over completely since it's apparently cold enough to have glaciers a hundred feet thick on either side of it year round.
