Fortryder alle mine valg… glæder mig til det her lorte BA projekt er ovre. Anyway bogen er interessant, forhåbenligt kan det bruges som noget sekundær litteratur

This book was written 10 years ago and is based on reports and data from the mid 2000s, and it shows. Personally, I'm finding most of the chapters lacking because an analysis of romance that does not take into consideration the writers and the content from the margin—outside of the mainstream—is not a complete analysis, in my opinion.

“I wonder how many buyers of romantic fiction have given a passing thought to the feminist scholarship written about it (and I don’t mean the tiny percentage of romance readers who are scholars themselves).”
😐 literally, what.

Whoa just the introduction is deep. This book is kind of tiring to read due to the long sentences and multi-syllable vocabulary.

This line from the preface really spoke to me..."though most of my female students rhetorically reject the traditional feminine motive of economic security in marriage, they often worry they won't be seen as desirable if they project independence and self-interest."
