Status Updates From Colorado Double Cross

Alexis has been kidnapped. Apparently Agent Blackstone is alive and was a mole and was using Nick as a fall guy. Also both Declan and the Deputy said Blackstone was dead. Are they apart of the cartel as well. I don’t think so but who knows 🤷‍♀️

Nick and Alexis are still on the run but their connection Devin gives them a hotel to stay at. They go back to the cabin to hunt for information that could be hidden in the vents. After a clue Alexis accidentally gave Nick. Stella was at the cabin and attacks and handcuffs them. Boo

Alexis attacks her and accidentally shoots and killed Stella. Unsure of that is a good thing or bad thing for their situation.

After getting arrested their cop car was run off the road. Alexis is in the hospital and Nick is on the run to try and get the sd cards to save their ass. He however like an idiot goes to the hospital to check on her. Luckily saves her from getting suffocated by the mole.
They escape the hospital and run to get the sd cards at the compound. Which is on fire when they get there. Like idiots they run inside

Are these two dense. Like why are you going to confront the husband of the woman you saw at the cartels hideout. I feel like that is the last thing you would want to do is that. Now a sniper just shot down the husband in front of them. You fucking idiots.

Alexis and Nick are even more on the run now after meeting up with the handler. Who happened to be the head of the DEA. He ended up getting shot by one of the guys from the cartel and told Nick and Alexis to run. Even though they tried to stay and help him keep pressure on his gunshot wound.

Apparently he ended up dying and now Nick and Alexis are wanted because the mole in the DEA is framing them for murder.

Nick and Alexis are hiding out in a house that she is selling for a reel estate company. They are waiting it out for the night until Nicks collection guy can come pick them up.

Nick has finally admitted to Alexis who he is. She gets mad at him for not telling her that he was going to follow a lead into Tony’s death. Nick admits he couldn’t tell her because of how deep undercover he was.

Will this be an enemies to lovers trope? This is such a middle age mom book but I lowkey dig it.

Man the action has started right away with Nick getting beat up and Alexis getting caught snooping by the cartel guys. Nick also just realized the girl is Alexis. They both don’t know they are trying to find out if the cartel is behind Tony’s death.
