I just don’t like how Florand writes the romances backwards for the last few books in the series. Insta love so it’s sex first before an actual date or kiss 😭 this book was the worst because Patrick did it so creepily. I’ve decided that the sex scenes are horrendous in context so if you skip that, there’s a cute story developing.

This is the most nothing book I’ve read of hers. Reading now for completion ✌️

Florand’s ability to introduce a dude in a Prius book as such a catch and then ruin him in his own book is quite a feat

This book would not have survived post #MeToo 🫣😬 I get the need for tension but tbh it could’ve easily risen from their first kiss—why did it have to be him being predatory? Consent questionable as she was barely verbal. Even she admits she could’ve said no but likely wouldn’t have. Only sticking around because Florand makes a better romance AFTER a couple hooks up for some reason.

Not done yet, all I can say for now is THEY NEED INTENSE INDIVIDUAL THERAPY!!!!!

The last few chapters of the book just having them finally sorting their shit out and having important communicative conversations is actually very sweet 🥺

Some of the treatment of het identity as a korean american feels somewhat fetishize but not as bad as it could be, and i wish he wouldnt talk about manipulating her. But im still reading and enjoying it idk

The development of the relationship is less creepo but still w some power imbalanced but p good. The use of ‘her sex’ and ‘flowered’ area little much for me frankly. Glad there hasnt been more foot stuff

Despite that fact that the male lead is lowkey an over-possessive creepo im really enjoying the interplay of their relationship so far
