An now they LOVE each other? HOW??? There's 0 chemistry

They're talking about how special they are to each other and I'm just sitting here and all confused because I haven't read a single scene that made me think they know each other or feel anything for each other.

I'm over halfway through but I'm not seeing any chemistry between the characters whatsoever.
Nor do I like either of them very much.

The amount of money Gwen is getting for being Reggies wife is so much it's just too ridiculous

I don't like it when the characters have sex this early on in a book.
It kinda ruins the whole build up for me.
So far I'm a little disappointed since I didn't expect it to be this lusty right of the bat
