I am persevering with this one but it is a bit of a struggle. When it started, I thought it was set in the times of Saloons and Mailcoaches.... but as it progresses, there are cars even a dishwasher has appeared.

Giggling women are a huge pet peeve of mine. A man threatening a woman to hit her when she leaves the house doesn't appeal to me. She is his wife not his prisoner. I'm not sure but I think the story is set in the early 30s since the Great Depression began in August of 1929. I like the writing and yet I feel totally bored. Trey can be charming but he's got a nasty temper. Maybe another DNF. We'll see...
