On the one hand, some of Larkin's anger is definitely justified. On the other, the fact that's she's just unilaterally including all the Bower boys in her anger isn't fair to the others since they had no part in much of anything that happened (except for Cal but that's a different story). And while it sucks, everyone did make their own adult decisions that night so maybe there's a little blame to go around.

Getting bored of this. I already know what will (or should) happen. The whole "nobody will like me if they know who my dad is" excuse is flimsy at best. And now that Jake is back, he and Larkin could appeal to the parole board.

I'm having a hard time buying this one. It's getting better, but sometimes the writing gets a bit obvious and the dialogue stilted.

I'm not sold on Larkin's backstory here. #1, I doubt Jake would have left her in a sketchy 'hood regardless of what was going through her mind. But even more, there's no reason she couldn't have stayed with her step brother to confirm the story when the police arrived. She's just his friend. Why would the police look into her last name!? There's no merit in this. I wish Siskind could have come up with better.
