Status Updates From The Melancholy of Mechagirl

I enjoyed 'Fade to White' and 'Killswitch' most. They were the most straightforward. The majority of this collection is too weird, too expressionistic, poetic gibberish. Science and Japanese mythology meet and make a great hullaballoo.

Of the four poems, I only could make sense of 'Memoirs of a Girl Who Failed to Be Born from a Peach'.

Nerdcore, new weird, japanese mythology in the fibre of narrations.

Scientific retellings of the genesis, declinated by culture and mixed with the author's personal genesis. A triumvirate of a scroll and a kanji interacting, an old woman being a yokai and a fox being a kami, an American officer's wife imagining kanjis. A kami appearing on old rolls of Japanese film and vanishing without a trace again.

mi-am amintit ca am inceput-o prin 2023. este o carte foarte buna si o recomand si tin minte ca primele 2 nuvele mi-au placut mult. stiu ca am uitat de ea cativa ani dar asta nu inseamna nimic. chiar imi place.
