“Some choices truly are meaningless, even on a macrocosmic scale. The fate of worlds may rest on whether you have tea or coffee. Equally, nothing at all of consequence can come from a decision to live or die.”

I'm not sure you can say you have finished this book in the traditional sense. Two hours of solid reading on the train I have died twice and committed some diabolical acts.

For a while I kept reading myself into a corner: Sutton Mallet, having sex. The only difference my choices made was which girl I slept with. Flashing forward, which didn't feel right for the pace established so far, invariably ended with 'And so on.' I've started over and will hopefully get to a full-length story, or at the very least, the party in Achelzoy.
