Status Updates From Crash (Crash, #1)

I feel like this one should come with all sorts of trigger warnings. Early in the story there is a very brutal graphic killing of a child. Way too much detail on that. Beyond that it has potential so far.

Man, I can't believe the Negan wannabe in this book is called Dean of all things.

Also, Chris is a shit stain of a human being and, if anyone deserves to die in the apocalypse, it's him. I'm almost looking forward to not-Negan killing him.

Also x2, Michael acts like he's 5 not 10 (as the book I swear called him) or 8 (as the blurb calls him). Chris fails at parenting like he fails at being a decent person.

BUT ALSO, what is this shitty attempt at world building the apocalypse?? Oh, Greece's economy is in the toilet so now it's like the purge all across Europe. Like wtf.

I know it's not what he means, but the line "As Chris watched on, his sphincter twinged" just makes me think Chris is clenching his butt in horror.
