Isn't this show for little kids? I feel like this message should be more kid-friendly. Otherwise release it on Youtube or go on a podcast or something. There's gotta be superhero podcasts in this world, right?

This is really interesting in light of Riley's poster. Does he think his father is the "correct" answer about heroism, even if he disagrees? Does he think his dad's death was heroic even if he doesn't feel that way? Much to consider.

Why can't Kat just shapeshift into a bird or something and fly up there with him?

I feel like Campbell is really sleeping on the potentials of Kat's powers.

To be fair, I don't. Gordon makes good points, if Damien was actually desperate to fit in as a hero, you think he would make...any sort of effort...to do that. At all.

The answer is apparently Riley, but like, couldn't Kat shapeshift into something to get through the lasers?

Did it occur to Damien to warn Kat about Sarah being crazily angry about her? Because even if you didn't realize she was dangerous (which you should have), like, she was bound to be bitchy and possibly make a big scene about it. You seemed to be banking on it, so that Riley would realize she was still messed up. But we're just not gonna address whether Damien let Kat in on this plan?

"The trade." Is supervillainy an ethnicity that unfairly discriminated against, or is it a job that we're supposed to just laugh about? It can't be both, Campbell.

You know, this bathing-suit-while-wreathed-in-lightning look? Make your hero/villain name "Electric Eel" or something and I think it could work.

You know, we keep emphasizing that Sarah abandoned Riley...but you girlfriend, abandoned you, too, Damien. Are we seriously not going to address that? At all?

("But Damien wasn't in danger." Her dad tried to throw him off a roof! Oh, he wasn't REALLY gonna do it? So I guess it just counts as torture, not actual murder, then.)

Gordon is a lot more likeable, at least.

Well, I hate Kat's dad, but I also hate her and Riley for abandoning him like that. Kat especially is gonna have to do some major shit if she wants to regain even mild likeability.

I feel like Damien could just reasonably ask, "How do you expect me to find you a date, when nobody at school likes me and I have no friends, male or otherwise, to ask?"

Though realistically, no, this will not be a problem. Damien will find a way to make some sort of deal with someone, if not just resort to blackmail or manipulation.

Yes you had. You didn't know anyone specific, but it was clearly established as something people had heard of.

"Nets splay over top of us" should either be "ON top of us" or "over THE top of us."

This "university" is clearly being written as a high school. Which is fine, because "superheroes start college early" is random anyway, but if it's a high school then call it a high school.

I mean, honestly? Someone needed to tell that to Gordon. Helen's mistake was waiting until the second book, when Damien's actually had enough character development for it to not really apply anymore.

Typo: "I also remember telling you to not to experiment" has an extra "to."
