Restarting this one because I didn’t realise it was its own saga. You know you’ve found a favourite universe when you buy 5 books in one hit. I already had this one but I didn’t have 1.5-5 until now and I look forward to the next week or so of going through them. I might even continue with the rest of the series once I finish this particular one. Nothing like a good reread before the newest book is released!

Honestly, it feels like Narro just came up with a couple of ideas and started writing about the characters and situations but didn't go back and tighten things up so they felt seamless. I got about a third of the way through the book before I asked the question "Why am I reading this?" and couldn't give a good answer. Backing away slowly.
