Status Updates From Loving the Earl

Claire is Too Stupid to Live. Given the time period, I don't expect a sheltered viscountess to know much about international travel, but I'd think that she would recognize her own ignorance and accept help or at the very least, learn from her mistakes. No such luck with Claire. It's quite painful to read, especially since it invalidates her protests about the hero's patronizing behaviour when I want to support her!

_Couldn't_ care less... Not could care less. Where are the editors?

I am predicting that this will be my least favorite in the series. She hands her bag to a thief... Not smart but forgivable as a learning experience. Then she does the same thing less than a day later... Only to be saved by the hero. Then she hands herself over to thieves again...

Oh and surprise, surprise, the heroine's got green eyes and red hair. Sigh.

So, the hero is dark, big and broody and perfect and the heroine is beautiful, bit daft and perfect. Why? What's so frikkin' wrong with IMperfect?
